Who am I?

M.A. Integrated Media Arts and Design, Anna Maria College

Matthew C Waite is a Massachusetts-based interdisciplinary artist with an M.A. in Integrated Media Arts and Design from Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA. His current work celebrates the mundane with an interest in the intersection of landscapes and language.
Waite is a freelance artist who works with businesses to create efficient, cost-effective marketing strategies with a creative twist—recently worked with Holden Community TV, Holden, MA, as an assistant videographer and producer. Recent exhibitions include 2024 12th Annual One, Arts Worcester, MA; 2024, LIFEBOOKS Reality & Perspectives, AMC, Paxton, MA.

Why sketch?

For the past 15 years, I have been teaching people how to sketch. But why? As an artist, the demand for constantly creating content is very high.

A great way to destress from your primary project is to grab a small piece of paper and jot down your feelings in the moment. They can be visual, text, or any media of your choice!

The sketching practice keeps you in a creative mindset without the deadline stress.
